One has to wonder what exactly was going through the minds of the builders when they were working on this building. Is there a secret door that opens onto the balcony? Or did they forget that there supposed to be a door there and bricked over it? It’s probably accurate to say we’ll never know the answer.
2.
It could be that the people who installed the sign in front of this security camera figured that crimes being committed in the store would be still be captured by security, but they’d be wrong. Criminals would feel much safer robbing stores if all security cameras were this well-placed.
3.
While it may be usual to have a single sink for a row of multiple toilets, it is definitely not the norm to have a row of sinks for a single toilet. Perhaps the architect made a mistake and meant to have those as a row of toilets?
4.
Unfortunately whoever was responsible for installing this tap failed to measure the length of the spout when they were placing it in the vanity. Just a little bit closer and they wouldn’t be part of our construction fails collection! As it is, hopefully, they have good waterproofing on the bathroom floor in case of flooding.
5.
It’s to be hoped that the two people using these urinals know each other, as otherwise it could become very awkward if you’ve never met before. On the other hand, perhaps it would be more embarrassing if you did know the person?
6.
Perhaps the person in that apartment was desperate for a window in their bedroom, and so they paid extra to have a window installed? But the biggest question would be does this additional feature add extra value to their property if they decide to sell? One would hope so.
7.
Whoever put this door on was obviously having an off-day. The only other explanation that this door was designed to work for Alice in Wonderland when she was both small and tall.
8.
Keeping the door open will be a breeze with this built-in door stopper. Of course, some people use this as a door handle, but what do they know?
9.
You would think that the person building this fence would have had a better plan for joining two corners than simply using cable ties – but apparently not!
10.
The first thought that comes to mind when viewing this tilted entrance is ‘What was the builder drinking?’ and the second is ‘Where can I buy it?’ Tripping as you cross the threshold of this home would be a daily occurrence.
11.
This badly-constructed slippery slide is just waiting to lure unsuspecting children to injuries and tears. This would need to be fixed before any decent parent allowed their child to go sliding down it.
12.
Whoever thought that putting a tap with water over an electrical powerpoint instead of over a sink had obviously never heard of the danger when mixing electricity and water. This house is at serious risk of an electrical fire – though perhaps the tap water would put the fire out?
13.
For anyone who petitioned to have a wheelchair ramp installed to provide access to this building, they would be sorely disappointed at the result. The only time this wheelchair ramp would be useful is to prevent someone disabled from escaping the building.
14.
If ever there is traffic coming both ways, the best advice that people on the sidewalk could follow is ‘Jump’. Because it’s fairly obvious that anyone who is driving along and is faced with running into another car or mounting the sidewalk is going to mount the sidewalk – regardless of who else might already be occupying that space.
15.
Ideally this would be a staircase with a hidden door that is opened from within, but our conclusion is that someone changed the design of this house three quarters of the way through its construction and couldn’t be bothered to go back and fix their initial work.
16.
If you need cash out and the only one nearby is this one, then unless you’re a basketballer player you’re probably out of luck. Perhaps this would qualify as discriminating against average-height people?
17.
This construction is taking multi-tasking to a whole new level, and it’s not something that we feel is going to catch on with the general public any time soon. After all, who would want to risk the toilet overflowing while you’re in the shower?
18.
Unless you have no choice other than to go across this bridge, we would recommend that you go the long way around. Those cinder blocks do not look as though they’ll hold up against the weight of a person, let alone a car.
19.
With any luck you’d never need anything from those drawers ever again, but if you do prepare yourself for scraped knuckles and short temper after you attempt to manoeuvre items out of these poorly-designed storage units.
20.
If ever was a picture that proved parents could go too far in giving their kids a ‘time-out’, this would prove it. These kids must have been really bad to deserve being locked in the cupboard at the top of the stairs and then being barred in with a railing.
